Friends-only social app with no algorithm
SamaySocial
No AI. No algorithm. Just you and your friends.
Logo shown is a SundayTech concept design, not yet a published app-store asset.
What it is
SamaySocial is a friends-first social app. Per its own launch page, your feed unlocks when you post, there is no AI and no algorithm, and the focus is getting closer to the people you already know.
- Feed unlocks when you post
- No AI, no algorithm
- Friends-only, built around real closeness
Who it is for
People tired of algorithmic feeds who want a small, honest circle.
How it earns
Planned subscription (the App Store record includes auto-renewable subscriptions).

The thesis (concept stage)
Why this category, and why we are not first
This page describes the concept and the market, not a launch plan. Social is the largest consumer category there is: Instagram has 3 billion monthly users and Snap earned $5.93B in 2025. It is also the hardest to break into. BeReal shows both sides: it reached about 40 million users and sold for 500 million euros in 2024, yet could not stay independent. The lesson is to lead with a durable habit rather than a gimmick. SamaySocial's wager is a post-to-unlock feed among real friends, entering behind giants and aiming to lead a small, loyal niche.
Market size
Sector size: no reliable estimate yet
We looked for a credible, citable sector-size figure for this category and did not find one, so we are not showing one. The competitor figures below are company metrics, not a sector estimate.
Competitor growth signals
Company-reported figures (revenue, users or reviews, as labelled). They show how a leading competitor is growing. They are not the size or growth of the whole sector.

Social apps are winner-take-most. Statements on the SamaySocial launch page about waitlist size are its own and are not repeated here. Nothing on this page is a traction claim.

Figures marked estimate come from third-party app trackers and are approximate. "No verified figure" means we looked and found no reliable public number, so we show none.
Where in the world
Where the downloads are
We aim to launch worldwide. Download volume is the best country-level data that is public across every category, so here are the ten biggest app markets and how each moved last year.
Source: AppTweak, App downloads by country (Dec 2025). Both stores, Nov 2024 to Nov 2025, all app categories.
For SamaySocial
India and the US first. India is the largest app-download market and Instagram's reach there is the benchmark to beat in friends-first niches.
The $100 million ambition
What a $100 million a year SamaySocial would take
A scenario, not a forecast and not expected revenue. $100 million a year in revenue in three years is the ambition we are building toward. This is the arithmetic of it: how many paying subscribers that takes at three illustrative prices. SamaySocial has no such traction today and nothing here is a promise.
Illustrative price points chosen for the maths. They are not SamaySocial's pricing. The numbers here are a scenario, not results.
